Sue Nonweiler
Legal Medical Consultant

Sue Nonweiler began her health care career as a Registered Nurse in 1984. After graduating from the School of Nursing at Indiana Central University, Sue practiced nursing for 23 years. She worked in both small county and large urban hospitals and in a variety of hospital settings including medical/surgical, ICU, and Emergency Medicine. In 1998, Sue left the hospital setting and began working with attorney Lance Cline as a legal nurse consultant.

In 2007, Sue returned to school to pursue a Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree at Butler University. As a Physician Assistant, Sue practiced in the areas of Peri-Operative and Internal Medicine.
In 2020, Sue returned to work with attorney Lance Cline as a legal medical consultant at The Cline Law firm in Carmel, Indiana.
At The Cline Law Firm, Sue is a potential client’s first point of contact. With her experience as a nurse and physician assistant, Sue understands the injuries suffered by the client, or the client’s loved one. She helps guide the client through the intake process and gathers the information that will be necessary for the attorneys to decide whether to investigate and prosecute a health care negligence claim. She then carefully reads and organizes the client’s certified medical records obtained by The Cline Law Firm into an accessible format that the attorneys can use throughout the handling of the client’s legal claim.
…
After thoroughly reviewing the client’s health care records and medical literature relevant to the client’s claim, Sue meets with the attorneys to discuss how the standards of medical care may not have been met in each case and assists the attorneys in finding the best medical expert to review the client’s health records and potential claim. By integrating the medical and legal issues from the beginning, and throughout the life of a client’s health care lawsuit, Sue helps The Cline Law Firm build a firm foundation on which to build a client’s legal claim.
