Spencer J. Hatfield

Spencer Hatfield joined The Cline Law Firm in 2020, bringing a uniquely analytical perspective to the practice of personal injury law. Born and raised in Evansville, Indiana, Spencer grew up witnessing firsthand the profound impact legal advocacy can have on individuals and families facing life-altering circumstances. After graduating from Purdue University in 2011 (Boiler-Up!), Spencer pursued his passion for scientific inquiry, earning a master's degree in Microbiology, Molecular Cell Biology, and Biochemistry from Southern Illinois University, where he graduated magna cum laude. His scientific career included valuable time as a microbiology research scientist working to develop next-generation antibiotics experience that honed his meticulous attention to detail and evidence-based approach to problem-solving. 

This scientific background gives Spencer a distinct advantage when handling complex medical negligence cases, as he can navigate intricate medical records and effectively communicate with healthcare professionals and expert witnesses. His transition to law was completed at the University of Illinois College of Law, where he graduated with honors, demonstrating his commitment to academic excellence across disciplines. 

Since joining The Cline Law Firm, Spencer has been instrumental in helping clients recover millions of dollars for injuries caused by medical negligence, product defects, and motor vehicle collisions. He approaches each case with the same rigorous methodology he applied in his scientific work-carefully analyzing evidence, identifying causation, and developing compelling arguments that resonate with judges and juries alike.
